At the time of the seizure, the value was $1 billion, currently $3.4 billion.

Why isn't the government selling the coins? Since 2014, the U.S. Marshals Service has sold 187,381 BTC in nine auctions, on which the government has earned only $179 million. Nowadays, those coins could be sold for 56 times that amount — for $10 billion.
