Yuga Labs, the company behind Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), has dumped the rights to two of its games, HV-MTL and Legends of the Mara, as part of their plan to shift focus. On April 17, Yuga Labs announced that Faraway, a gaming studio, bought the rights, adding that Spencer Tucker, Yuga Labs’ gaming officer, will now work at Faraway as the head of product to ensure smooth continuity between the games.

Starting May 20, 2024, PayPal will no longer offer buyer protection for NFT purchases. This change marks a shift from PayPal’s previous stance where transactions involving NFTs were covered under both buyer and seller protection programs. The company cited the complex nature of proving order fulfillment and the rapidly evolving digital asset environment as reasons for the policy revision.

Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs may have hit more than a rough patch as the floor price for the once-celebrated collection hit its lowest point since August 2021. As of Monday, the floor price on Bored Ape NFTs sank to 10.9 ether (about $34,000), according to NFT Price Floor data. The NFTs' floor price has not been that low since early August 2021, when it hit 9.5 ether, also according to the NFT data site. Yuga Labs, the creator of the Bored Ape Yacht Club, or BAYC, collection declined to comment.
