The simple reason to Hodl, is the realization we cannot time the market short term, but trust the long term.
It is really this simple..
Most Hodlers have learned this shit is impossible to time short term and we don't want to spend all that energy trying to time it and get frustrated by being wrong.
We tried to understand the basics and saw the potential value and mind-blowing opportunities this new form of money / store of value could have.
So we decided to put some money in it to back up where our mouth is.
Not for sort term gains, or being able to call every short-term move, but for its long term possibilities we see and believe in.
Most of us saw that in the long term Bitcoin did double roughly every year in value, and we think it will continue to do so although probably the gains will slowly top off.
And we saw that it roughly follows a four year pattern linked to the halving that is build-in the Bitcoin protocol.
So we put some faith in its possibilities and the seen trend, but since we realized we can't predict short term movements we decided trading it is just a gamble and mostly not worth the risk compared to the roughly doubling we see every year on a long term.
We think it will roughly follow this pattern in the future, but know it will do so only by approximation.
That is why we say we don't think the bull run is currently at its end but at the same time can't be bothered if it turns out it has ended.
We are not in it to chase short term movements, but we trust the revolutionary new features it offers combined with it long term uptrend.
We love to talk about it but we don't have any more knowledge about short term movements than anyone else.
So we don't do exact predictions, and to be honest we just don't care about short term movements, it doesn't affect our beliefs or strategy.
So you can ask if we entered a new bear market and we will tell you that based on previous cycles we PROBABLY have not.
But we can't be sure and simply don't care, these are short-term details to us.
I hope this can/will reduce the number of posts just about these short term movements.
You are welcome to try and time this market, but please realize that if you have the urge to ask about short term movements you are simply gambling.
It's nice to talk about it but realize everyone reacting on short term movements is gambling just as well....
And in that respect even the long term movements suported by just the 12 years history of Bitcoin is also no absolute proof for the future, that is why most of us still advice to do your own research, make up your own mind and not to just trust on others opinions.
