What is cloud mining?
There are companies that own mining equipment located at their own facility and provide a certain hashrate to users for a fee.
If you use such a service, then you do not need to have mining equipment (for example, SHA-256 ASIC for Bitcoin mining), you pay for a certain amount of hashrate for a certain period of time. This is called a mining contract.
