BRC20 tokens are coming up.
They are built with Ordinals and Inscriptions and stored on the bitcoin base chain.
I hope you read about ordinals in our February thread about it.
How it differs from ERC20?
- Like ERC20 is based on ethereum, BRC20 is based on bitcoin.
- Bitcoin blockchain doesn't support smart contracts, so...
- BRC-20 tokens cannot be used in other applications such as decentralized exchanges, borrowing and lending protocols
