Livermore got such a heavy sell that in the end he was asked not to take any more positions because they didn't have the money to give him the profit and worse than that, he was destroying the American economy.

In order to understand how deadly this fall was, it should be said that the stock market crash of 1929 was one of the factors that started WWII.
