The year begins with exciting news! Another real city has moved to the metaverse.
Now the residents of Seoul have a virtual copy of their hometown. Here they can not only communicate, but also do quite useful things - draw up official documents, deal with taxes, complain about the city services. And of course, Metaverse Seoul is a place for entertainment and experience. The new world will gradually feature games, copies of interactive exhibitions and replicas of city sights.
Metaverse Seoul took a year and a half and $1.6 million for its first release, and there's still a five-year roadmap of development ahead. So there's plenty more to come!
Recall that similar virtual spaces are now being created in Dubai, Shanghai and Hong Kong. Well, the first city, which has plunged into the AR metaverse, was Petrozavodsk, the capital of the Karelian Republic. It became a part of the Arcona world last summer!
