Bitcoin is now officially legal tender in El Salvador, and even though this is one of our earliest steps towards mass adoption, nearly 68% of El Salvador citizens still oppose to it.
Why is this happening? We’ve accessed El Salvador poll results and we could see the vast majority of middle and lower class people think Bitcoin will increase the gap between the poor and already wealthy.
We think, however, that it’s just a matter of time for people to fully understand Bitcoin and accept it as what it is in the country, making it the first successful experiment of its type and pushing other nations to do the same.
