From the 2nd of August, institutional funds in Germany will have the option of up to 20% of their assets being held in the form of crypto.
The country's new legislation will change the rules surrounding special funds, which include pension funds and insurance.
These funds are currently worth about 1.8 trillion euros, meaning that billions of euros could be poured into crypto.
