Hashdex Asset Management, an investment firm with an emphasis on crypto, has launched a new environmentally-friendly ETF in Brazil.
The ETF, which is named BITH11, intends to purchase carbon credits in order to make itself carbon neutral. Hashdex has teamed up with Crypto Carbon Ratings Institute to help them achieve this. The German institute will provide annual reports with an estimation of the energy use and carbon emissions associated with the fund's BTC.
Currently, the ETF's plans include the investment of 0.15% per annum of its liquid assets into carbon credits and environmentally friendly technology.
