Samsung is reportedly going to be involved in the testing phase of South Korea's CBDC.
Working alongside the Bank of Korea, Samsung will use their Galaxy smartphone to test the currency's mobile capabilities.
The electronics company will be particularly focussed on establishing whether payments can be made via mobile if the phone does not have an internet connection, as well as looking into remittances.
