Ethereum Classic Jumps Nearly 12% as Hash Rate Hits All-Time High

According to data from 2miners, Ethereum Classic, a hard fork of the Ethereum blockchain, has reportedly achieved an all-time-high hash rate of 45 terahashes per second (TH/s). High hash rates are an indicator of increasing resilience against 51% attacks.

The news has resulted in a 12% spike in the price of the blockchain’s native token ETC, over the past 24 hours. The coin has also surged over 60% in the past 90 days from $21.40 to $35.6 currently.

Bank of Russia Agrees to Legalise Crypto for Cross-Border Payments: Report

Russia’s central bank, the ‘Bank of Russia’, has reportedly agreed with the finance ministry to legalise cross-border payments in crypto. The central bank also admitted that the move was inevitable due to current geopolitical conditions. However, the central bank also clarified that it is still opposed to legalising crypto payments within the country.
