Hacktivist Group ‘Anonymous’ Makes Numerous Allegations Against Yuga Labs and its BAYC NFT Collection

In a YouTube video released yesterday, internet hacktivist group Anonymous made a series of allegations regarding Yuga Lab’s alleged use of esoteric symbolism in the art for its Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection. Anonymous believes the BAYC artwork features the company's support for numerous controversial subjects, such as Nazism, racism, simianisation and pedophilia.

The statement from the group reads,

“Anonymous is certain that the BAYC collection and the Yuga labs brand are infected with not one or two — but with dozens of examples of esoteric symbolism and dog whistles reflecting Nazism, Racism, Siminisation, and Pedophilic support…. Don’t your founders owe you more than this? Many outside the BAYC community continue to whisper how you’ve been deceived in a way that is both unprecedented and unforgivable.”

The group called on existing BAYC holders including its more high-profile holders to speak up and take an official stance on the allegations.

Microsoft’s M12 Leads Space and Time’s $20 Million Raise To Bring SQL To Web3

Web3 data warehouse firm “Space and Time” has reportedly raised $20 million in a strategic funding round. The round was led by Microsoft’s M12 fund and saw participation from Avalanche, Framework Ventures, Polygon, Coin DCX, Hash Capital, Foresight Ventures, SevenX Ventures, Stratos, Hash CIB, and others.

The platform aims to enable companies to do enterprise-scale analytics and make fast transactions by combining on-chain and off-chain data in a single trustless environment. Nate Holiday, CEO and co-founder of Space and Time, stated,

“We are productising Proof of SQL and the reason we're doing it is because the vast majority of the world today may not understand the value of a decentralised network. And they may say, ‘It's okay, if my data is being processed in a central environment, as long as in a sense, my query results can be tamper proof.’”
