According to the company’s CEO, Michael Kagan, using Nvidia’s GPUs for crypto mining is not worth it since cryptocurrencies “bring nothing useful to society.”
Instead, he wants to ensure that supply goes to Nvidia’s preferred customers, who, apparently, include AI researchers and gamers.
"They [crypto enthusiasts] bought a lot of stuff, and then eventually it collapsed because it doesn’t bring anything useful for society. AI does,” Kagan stated in the Guardian interview.
