Ecosystem
⁃ Unigate: hosting one of their executives next week. Doing good progress towards B2C (B2B already working).
⁃ Seedling: new round of new projects being launched; contributions are open for Witly right now. Community giveaway + rewards for contributors.
⁃ Cherish:
Cherry core development
⁃ “Layer-2 are here to stay” Seraphim. Cherry will be a layer-0 (architecture, like Polkadot) having Cherry mainnet as the main layer and other layer-2 for scalability.
⁃ Initial parachains in Cherry:
⁃ 1. One for smart contracts with Rust (like Solana), super efficient. This is the current Cherry layer-1 mainnet.
⁃ 2. Another parachain for EVM compatibility, where solidly smart contracts can be deployed (Ethereum has over 80% Web3 market).
⁃ 3. Storage parachain. Parachain architecture now completed (big progress during the last two weeks). We’re looking at having two networks for storage (one for IPFS and one for something else - details on YouTube video around minute 28).
⁃ Will Cherry have something similar to BSC Scan to view transactions? (Minute 46:18 AMA) We’re working on this. Any blockchain adopting EVM can use these hash scans anyway.
Other updates
⁃ Cherry University being launched soon, in a matter or weeks. 80% content ready. Working on gamification too.
⁃ Eoghan will be implementing a new Agile framework in the business for the development work.
⁃ Next week the internship portal will be launched.
