Ukraine Opens Polkadot Wallet for War Fundraising

Ukraine expanded its cryptocurrency fundraising efforts by opening up a Polkadot wallet on Tuesday.

The move comes after Polkadot founder Gavin Wood pledged to donate $5 million in DOT.

So far Ukraine has received over $186,000 in DOT, according to on-chain data.

Bitcoin Accumulation Rises at High Pace: Glassnode Data

Data provided by Glassnode analytics aggregator shows that since late February this year, accumulation of the flagship cryptocurrency has been going parabolic.

Lido Announces Integration With Aave and Solarbeam

On February 28, Lido Finance, an Ethereum 2.0 liquid staking service provider announced to integrate with Aave and Solarbeam.

As stated in the tweet, the move was made to benefit users. Through this merger, users can deposit stETH as insurance in Aave to earn interest. stETH is a token depicting staked Ether in Lido. These tokens are minted upon deposits and burned while redeeming.

Google Launches Blockchain Division, Grows Web3

Google is preparing to make its long-awaited entry into the crypto-sphere. The company is tasking engineering Vice President Shivakumar Venkataraman to lead the division under the ‘Labs’ group.

2022-03-01 15:07:26 NFT platform DMarket freezes user accounts from Russia and Belarus

DMarket, a trading platform for NFTs and in-game metaverse items, said that, as a startup born in Ukraine, it has decided to cut off all ties with Russia and Belarus. With this, Russian and Belarusian users are now prohibited from registering on the platform. DMarket will also be freezing all registered accounts from these regions. Assets and skins will remain under these profiles, but access to their use is currently restricted.

Users frozen by mistake are invited to contact the platform and confirm their user info via KYC to reopen their accounts.Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov praised DMarket's decision on Twitter. He had previously called on all major cryptocurrency exchanges to block the addresses of Russian users.
