The First KSM<>DOT Bridge powered by IBC.

For the first time, KSM and DOT are being bridged, unlocking the ability for the experimentation of Kusama to continue, with the TVL of Polkadot to support the ecosystem.

As a result, Pablo, our native cross-chain DEX on Kusama, will now have $DOT in the form of $ibcDOT, bridged from Polkadot.

We are now positioned to establish a connection between IBC-enabled chains in the Cosmos and the Picasso parachain as well.

In order to align with our vision of security, efficiency, and user design, we have removed any elements of trusted components in the design of Mosaic and we will be terminating bridging functionality with EVM chains soon. Keep calm, Mosaic will stay as the UX that underpins the trustless bridging infrastructure that we’ve built — to Polkadot, NEAR, Cosmos, and many other chains to come, ultimately, establishing itself as the IBC bridge for transferring assets for the end-user.
