While Bitcoin was flirting with a new ATH, an apparent bug caused Coinbase users to see their account balances hit all-time lows. A surging Bitcoin price between 9:00 and 10:00 AM PST on Feb. 28 may have caused a disruption in Coinbase services as widespread reports of accounts suddenly showing a zero balance began to populate social media. As of the time of this article’s publication, the apparent bug appears ongoing, but Coinbase says funds are safe.

Apparently, Sun posted the image in response to suggestions he did not use HTX frequently, despite serving as the company's global advisor.

According to a Feb. 27 statement, this decision is part of a new treasury strategy that would leverage the firm’s BTC reserves to bolster its balance sheet and support growth endeavors. Hut 8 is one of the largest Bitcoin mining firms in the industry. The company has a BTC reserve of more than 9,000 BTC, estimated to be worth $523 million.
