The number of BTC addresses in deficit set a new ATH of 19,220,229 addresses today. It is this number of addresses that owns BTC at a loss.
However, despite the large number of unprofitable addresses, the balance on exchanges continues to shrink. As of today, the exchanges hold over 1.74mn coins - minus 40% of the ATH achieved in 2020. This tells us that investors are patiently surviving the current decline and continue to gain ground.
