Hospitals have received hundreds of inquiries about this over the past two years, and a growing number of rehab centers are beginning to offer such services. At the same time, experts note that crypto addiction is similar to gambling addiction, and the methods of their treatment differ little.

According to Aaron Sternlicht, CEO of New York-based Family Addiction Specialist, those who are addicted to trading cryptocurrencies are increasingly turning to it as a source of “excitement and pleasure in their lives.” He attributed sleep difficulties, the desire to monitor prices for cryptocurrencies at any time of the day, trading to the detriment of relationships, career and education, to the characteristic signs of the disorder.
