2023-01-07 20:49:58 ​Coin Bureau Analyst Details 2023 Crypto Outlook, Pins Date on Potential Market Turnaround

The host of the popular crypto YouTube channel Coin Bureau is expressing bullish sentiment for crypto assets this year.

In a new interview with crypto personality Benjamin Cowen, Coin Bureau’s Guy Turner says that the earliest crypto assets could start recovering from the bear market is either late in the July-to-September quarter or early in the October-to-December quarter.

“I would hope that we’ll be starting to see green shoots, starting to see signs of a recovery towards the end of the year. Maybe sort of late Q3, early Q4. But that would be you know at the very earliest for that.”

Guy, however, says that the prices of crypto assets are likely to reach new local lows first this year, possibly before April, prior to market recovery.

“I am expecting that we are going to see new lows probably in the first quarter would be my best guess.

I think we’ve got that to look forward to and then probably in terms of price action, I would imagine a fair amount of trading sideways really for the rest of the year.”

According to the Coin Bureau host, 2023 will be marked by slow accumulation and is unlikely to turn out to be a “spectacularly interesting year.”

“In terms of price action, I don’t think we’re going to see a spectacularly interesting year in those sorts of terms.

I think it’s going to be a year, especially once those lows are in, I think it’s going to be a year for slow accumulation, for dollar cost averaging and things like that. Open / Comment

Global cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has decided to pull its operations in Japan for the second time, citing a strain on its resources amid a “weak crypto market.”

In a Dec. 28 blog post, Kraken said it has decided to cease its operations in Japan and deregister from the Financial Services Agency by Jan. 31, 2023, which it said was part of efforts to “prioritize resources” and investments, stating:

“Current market conditions in Japan in combination with a weak crypto market globally mean the resources needed to further grow our business in Japan aren’t justified at this time.”
“As a result, Kraken will no longer service clients in Japan through Payward Asia,” it added.

Kraken’s Japanese-facing exchange is operated by its subsidiary Payward Asia Inc.

As previously reported, Ren Protocol first version functioned at the expense of funds from Alameda Research. After the bankruptcy of Alameda, the community had to look for a way to continue the work, so it is planned to launch Ren 2.0, which will not be compatible with the first version of the protocol.

To fund the development of Ren 2.0, 180 million REN tokens will be issued. At the current exchange rate it is about $10.8 million. Voting was held on the Snapshot platform, and only holders of REN tokens had access to it.

About 95% of the voters supported the token issuance, with 80.78% expressing support for the issuance of 200 million tokens. However, the developers decided to issue 180 million tokens.
