Binance.US is facing allegations that it is operating an unregistered securities exchange in the US, according to a US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) official. The SEC believes that the sale of VGX tokens by Voyager Digital violated federal securities laws. SEC Senior Trial Attorney William Uptegrove made the claims at a bankruptcy hearing to determine whether Voyager should be sold to Binance.US. The official did not say whether the SEC had any enforcement actions in the works.
