Seychelles-based crypto exchange OKX is expanding its services to Australia, citing the country's "huge appetite" for crypto investment and trading. The exchange plans to build a strong local office and sees Australia as an indispensable part of its growth strategy. OKX has not yet registered with AUSTRAC, the licensing regime required to offer cryptocurrency services in Australia. The exchange is also applying for a Virtual Asset Service Provider license in Hong Kong. The expansion plans come as OKX prepares to cease services to Canadians in June.
