Flybondi, an Argentinian airline, has made history by becoming the first carrier to offer tickets as NFTs. The Ticket 3.0 initiative, developed in partnership with TravelX, allows passengers to transfer, rename, or give away their tickets easily and autonomously. The technology is built on the Algorand blockchain, with a 2% transaction fee charged by TravelX on trades made on the secondary market. The scheme is already operational, and Flybondi's CEO hopes that it will create a positive impact in the aviation industry.
