Trump NFT Collection Sells Out on Day One, Generates Over $4.65M
A second collection of Trump-themed NFTs, "Trump Digital Trading Cards Series 2," has sold out within a day, generating over $4.65 million. The collection featured 47,000 digital collectibles priced at $99 each. The NFTs, designed by artist Clark Mitchell and minted on the Polygon blockchain, license the name, image, and likeness of former US President Donald Trump. Purchasers of the NFTs can trade, accumulate, or collect them like traditional trading cards. Those who buy 47 cards receive a ticket to a Gala Dinner with Trump in South Florida, while 100-card purchases made with crypto offer the same benefit. Trump's Series 1 NFTs, released in December 2022, have surged in value since the former president was indicted on over 30 charges related to alleged business fraud.
