NFT marketplaces, including OpenSea and Blur, are witnessing significant drops in daily users and sales, reaching lows unseen since 2021, according to Dune analytics platform data. The number of unique users has declined to 7,805, a number last seen in July 2021, while sales have dipped to 16,149, last recorded in November 2021. Experts attribute the decline to factors such as high gas prices, tax season liquidity issues, and a possible decrease in activity due to macroeconomic factors. Despite the drop in users and sales, trading volume in ether remains relatively stable.
