South Korean Prosecutors and Police Officers Face Bribery Charges in Crypto Fraud Trial In a shocking turn of events,
eight South Korean prosecutors and police officers find themselves at the center of a
high-profile crypto fraud trial.
The trial of one prosecutor, known as
"A", has already commenced in Gwangju, while six others await their day in court.
The case revolves around a suspected fraudster named
Tak, who allegedly enlisted the help of a legal "broker" named
Seong to manipulate the course of justice.
Seong's alleged tactics included
bribing officials, including the now-former police officer
Jang.
It is claimed that A not only provided legal advice to Seong and Tak but also took an active role in
crafting statements related to the criminal case.
Tak himself testified that A summoned him to a dubious "dinner meeting" at a church office, where A proceeded to ask leading questions and draft an official-looking document.
