At the time of writing, Bitcoin was trading at $21,325 on the price charts, having hiked by 7% over the last 7 days. Furthermore, its 24-hour trading volume was recorded to be $40.1B. 
Needless to say, BTC’s price movement had an impact on its market cap too. When the crypto’s price hit a short-term peak on 30 July, so did the market capitalization, with the same rising to $469 billion. At press time, it was down to $408 billion. As expected, BTC/USDT was the most popular trading pair on the market, with Binance enjoying a share of over 9.5% for the same.
The aforementioned may be good news for investors. Especially since many would see this as a good opportunity to buy BTC on the low. In fact, while BTC is still over 69% away from its ATH of over $69,000, there’s a lot of optimism around. Open / Comment

Bitcoin (BTC) continued to trade below the $20,000 mark on Tuesday as stock futures inched higher following the Labor Day long weekend. Ether (ETH) outperformed bitcoin as Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin tweeted the Bellatrix hard fork would take place today. The Bellatrix will “prepare” the chain for the upcoming Merge.
Ether was up 7% over the last 24 hours, compared to bitcoin which was up 1%. Other altcoins also outperformed the world’s largest cryptocurrency on Tuesday, with ethereum classic (ETC) surging 27%. Avalanche’s AVAX was up 7% and Lido DAO, a liquid staking system for Ethereum, was up 13%.
DeFi giant Aave stopped loaning ether ahead of the Merge. The community is worried that users might increasingly borrow ether ahead of the Merge, exposing the protocol to liquidity issues and injecting volatility into Lido’s staked ether market.

It's also explained as a coin's founders, collaborators, or a group of traders spreading misleading information to inflate the price of an asset before selling the shares for a higher price.

It mostly happens when there's not plenty of information to crypto buyers.
For example, Squid game crypto soared in value. The creators of Squid game crypto inflated its coin. Then, they disappeared with $3 million in their pockets from investors.
Another example happened with Kim Kardashian and Floyd Mayweather Jr. They pumped the price of EthereumMax.

Cryptocurrencies and stablecoins could be employed as an investment tool in times of financial turbulence and negative events (such as the Russian invasion of Ukraine). In any case, allocating some wealth into the asset class sounds like a better step than, for example, buying a property in a region ravaged by war.
Relying on that assumption, the resident of Kyiv – Yuri Popovich – invested all his family money (nearly $10,000) into UST (a stablecoin that, on paper, sounded like a less risky choice than most volatile cryptocurrencies since it was supposed to be pegged 1:1 with the US dollar).

“I am not a speculator; I just wanted to save money,” the man said.

Nonetheless, at the beginning of the month, the asset lost its peg against America’s national currency and currently hovers at a mere $0.06. Popovich revealed that due to this crash, his investment melted to $500.
The devastating loss also caused severe health problems to the man:

“I stopped sleeping normally, lost 4kg; I often have headaches and anxiety. My wife still doesn’t know about this loss. I don’t know how to tell her.”

Popovich noted that the current living conditions in Ukraine are extremely tough. With that said, UST’s crash and the consecutive “colossal amount” which the family parted with would make their lives even more challenging:

Tesla and Spacex CEO Elon Musk shared his thoughts on the U.S. economy and the upcoming recession in a series of tweets Thursday.
Responding to a question about whether “we’re approaching a recession,” he answered: “Yes.” However, Musk noted, “this is actually a good thing.”
The Tesla boss explained that “It has been raining money on fools for too long,” stressing that “some bankruptcies need to happen.” He elaborated: “All the Covid stay-at-home stuff has tricked people into thinking that you don’t actually need to work hard. Rude awakening inbound!”
His recession tweet followed a statement he made last week, stating that the U.S. economy is “probably” in a recession. He warned that things “will get worse,” and estimated that the recession could last 12 to 18 months.
“The honest reason for inflation is that the government printed a zillion more money than it had,” Musk further commented.

Tether launched the USDT stablecoin on the Polygon (MATIC) blockchain as it continues to spread its reach across the cryptoverse. The latest addition means that USDT is available on 11 blockchains including Ethereum, Tron, Solana, Algorand, Avalanche, Kusama, and others.
Tether’s Chief Technology Officer Paolo Ardoino expressed his enthusiasm over the new launch as groundbreaking for both parties. “We’re excited to launch USDT on Polygon, offering its community access to the most liquid, stable, and trusted stablecoin in the digital token space.”

Elon Musk also announced that SpaceX would soon start accepting Dogecoin for its merchandise purchases.

The announcement has elicited excitement from the crypto community, as well as suggestions such as Tesla accepting Dogecoin for car payments and Starlink subscriptions via DOGE.

Earlier this week, Musk increased his commitment to Twitter’s takeover bid to $33.5 billion.

Elon Musk, the CEO of both Tesla and SpaceX, has announced that the two companies will accept Dogecoin (DOGE) as a means of payment for merchandise.
