Ethereum scaling project StarkWare plans to open-source the StarkNet Prover in an effort to make the technology publicly available and increase the transparency of its code. The prover is a crucial component of the StarkNet, a widely adopted Layer 2 scaling network for Ethereum based on the ZK-STARKs technology. The prover is responsible for generating cryptographic proofs to compress transactions and improve the efficiency of Layer 2 scaling. Read more Open / Comment

2023-02-04 15:10:02 Ethereum developers to open public testing of Shanghai-Capella upgrade on Feb. 7
The Ethereum network is set to activate the Zhejiang public test network on Feb. 7, as the platform prepares for the Shanghai-Capella upgrade in March. Zhejiang is currently in a preview phase and will be upgraded once more in the coming days for public use. Shanghai-Capella, also referred to as Shapella, is an upgrade aimed at enabling ether (ETH) withdrawals from network validators — a feature that is currently unavailable. Shanghai will upgrade the execution layer of Ethereum, while Capella will upgrade the consensus layer of the blockchain. The community is hopeful that XRP could be relisted on Coinbase following the success of attorney John E. Deaton who won what is believed to be regulatory clarity regarding secondary market sales of cryptocurrencies earlier this week. In the legal battle between blockchain-based content sharing and publishing platform LBRY and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Deaton and LBRY scored a major victory for the entire crypto industry. 2023-02-02 13:15:16 Cardano stablecoin Djed TVL hits $10M in 24 hours, ADA up 4%
The total value of assets locked (TVL) on Cardano-based overcollateralized stablecoin Djed crossed $10 million during the first 24 hours of its launch, according to DeFillama data. Available data on Djed’s website shows that the stablecoin has a circulating supply of 1.7 million, while its reserve token, SHEN’s supply, is at 20.8 million. Coti CEO Shahaf Bar-Geffen tweeted that Djed’s reserve ratio peaked at 800% some hours after its launch — the percentage has dropped to 596% as of press time. Read more Open / Comment

The core development team at BNB Chain released a whitepaper for BNB Greenfield, a blockchain-based Web3 platform that provides smart contract-integrated data storage. With BNB as its native token, users will be able to store data on a distributed network and access or monetize it through smart contracts on the BNB Smart Chain, according to the whitepaper. Djed, the flagship Cardano blockchain native overcollateralized stablecoin, is set to launch this week. COTI, the layer 1 blockchain network that jointly developed Djed with Cardano core developers IOG, unveiled new details of the launch.COTI noted in a blog post that the ADA-backed stablecoin would deploy on the mainnet once chain index syncing is complete.
