3D Secure (3DSv1): what is that?
There's a lot of fuss about this mysterious 3DS. We want to shed some light on this since it is key to understanding how the service works.
3DSv1 typically referred to as ‘Verified by Visa’ or ‘Mastercard SecureCode’ is an additional security layer used to authorize online by entering a password or one-time-PIN.
Digital or Cloud banks may require the purchase to be authorised within the app.
