Rivian, an Amazon-backed electric vehicle startup, went live on the Nasdaq under the ticker RIVN
The IPO looks set to be the biggest EV listing ever. Ford and Amazon both hold stakes in the company. It expects to have 100,000 commercial vans for Amazon on the road by 2030. The company has raised more than $11 billion in private capital since being founded and it will compete with the heavyweights in the industry including Chinese firm NIO
The EV sector continues to attract plenty of investor attention and this was one of the most anticipated IPOs of the year so far.
