Why DAO Enters Metaverses: Comment from СЕО DAO.vc George Galoyan
The topic of the development of metaverses is being discussed during conferences and summits dedicated to crypto industry and blockchain more and more often. In the coming years, we will be able to observe the transfer of the existing decentralized autonomous organizations into popular metaverses, like Sandbox and Decetraland.
Even now, the owners of “lands” in metaworlds form their own DAOs. With the help of DAO, organizations, that hold metaverse tokens, will vote for their development, exchange digital possessions, organize events, and scale.
DAO and GameFi
Another migrational trend in metaworlds will become a fusion of decentralization and gamification. Few Play2Earn games exist without elements of motivation and support of their own system of numerous guilds and clans, that often become the main engines of the projects.
The guilds themselves are interested in the creation of DAO, since they not only ensure the development of the entire GameFi sector but also simplify the interaction between players: token and NFT exchange, allocation of resources and in-game possessions, etc.
Financial DAO in Metaverses
Famous financial DAOs will not lose their chance to use the potential of the popular metaverses. As an example, Metaverse DAO is a project that has already started uniting farming pools to obtain rewards in various blockchains. Moreover, participants will earn native tokens, used for investment in game development, the creation of objects in the metaverse, etc.

Now I see 2 main ways of development of DAO in metaverses:
The creation of metaworlds that will function according to all DAO principles.
The creation of separate DAOs within metaverses as associations of their users.
But I should notice that it is still too early to talk about a large-scale transfer, since:
there are still quite a few true DAOs existing;
we see an insufficient number of fully functioning metaverses.
