Solidity tokenizes every version of Solidity as an NFT
The developers of Solidity, a high-level object-oriented language for implementing smart contracts, have announced that they are tokenizing every version of Solidity as NFT.
"Today we're happy to announce a little surprise that we've been working on in silence for the last couple of weeks. We heard that you really like cryptocurrency-related collectibles, and we listened. Soon you'll be able to own a digital piece of Solidity history: we're tokenizing every version of Solidity as an NFT!" the message reads.
Each issue will be minted exactly once and will therefore be truly unique. Users will be able to bid on the NFT of each version. Funds raised through this process will go into a special pool that will be used to fund development related to Solidity that the NFT owner can vote for.
