We are happy to announce a new Storm of Events that was brought by our partnership with Playdex.

Prepare yourself for the events that are coming starting from next week:

Quiz with prizes for the most attentive Captains
Livestream from our partners with relevant topics, discussion for whales and guides on how the game works for the new Captains.

We have a big announcement for you today! We were standing before a big task at the start of the year — to balance the craft system and the marketplace and make it fair for every Captain.

We're gonna talk about some changes that will be made to the game economy:

Craft WOD price:
Common: 2 200 WOD
Uncommon: 4 600 WOD
Rare: 9 000 WOD
Epic: 18 000 WOD
Legendary: 36 000 WOD
Artifact: 72 000 WOD

Craft Material price:
Common, Uncommon and Rare recipes will need 15% more materials than before.
Epic, Legendary and Artifact will need 35% more, especially Common, Uncommon and Rare materials.

Fishing Sessions balance changes:

A higher Captain Level will be needed for more simultaneous Fishing Sessions to be available:
LVL 1: 1 Session
LVL 5: 2 Sessions
LVL 10: 3 Sessions
LVL 20: 4 Sessions
LVL 30: 6 Sessions
LVL 40: 7 Sessions
LVL 50: 8 Sessions
LVL 60: 10 Sessions
LVL 70: 11 Sessions
LVL 80: 12 Sessions
LVL 90: 14 Sessions
LVL 100: 15 Sessions

We're also working on reducing the gas fee needed to craft the equipment.

These changes will be available on Testnet today at 18:00 UTC.

Captains, in several days we will need your feedback for the adjusments, so we ask you to test them for yourselves and let us know what you like and what you don't. We're going to use your feedback to improve the economic system in the game furthermore.

The New Year Celebration Event has come to an end.

From all of the Defish Team we want to thank you for your support throughout the year

As you know, for most of us it was a challenging experience, developing a game while living in Ukraine, and we couldn't do it without you!

Now we want to share some results with you.

Time that the Captains spent in the game increased by 20%
Active player count increased by 10%
132 fishes were caught during the event

The special equipment that wasn't caught during the event can still be caught in the regular fishing sessions. Good luck catching the treasure!

Thank you for your support and let's ride the wave to 2023 together. There is a lot of adventures we have ahead of us.
