2023-05-15 19:29:57 The number of Bitcoin wallet addresses holding one full BTC or more has topped one million. According to Glassnode data, this milestone was reached on May 13th.

The number of wallet addresses holding one or more bitcoins increased, with the most notable increases occurring during a severe market crash in June and on November 11, the date FTX collapsed and subsequently filed for bankruptcy.

While the round number “one million” marks a new notch in the record books, it’s worth pointing out that one Bitcoin wallet address doesn’t always represent a single person. Many crypto investors have multiple Bitcoin addresses and other addresses belong to major institutions like cryptocurrency exchanges and investment firms that typically own large sums of Bitcoin.

According to Goldman Sachs, 32% of family offices have exposure to digital assets, such as NFTs or DeFi, while 26% have specifically invested in cryptocurrencies. 32% are exposed to digital assets in some way.
