Mainnet Upgrade: Tokens have been deployed, Activation April 28.The Elrond Standard Digital Token model embeds token functionality into the Elrond protocol. Tokens on Elrond will have all the properties of existing token standards and several new ones.
Minting tokens on Elrond will be done at negligible costs. Transferring them will be as inexpensive and fast as with native EGLD. This opens a new era for tokens.
Validators are deploying v1.1.50.0 of elrond-go as we speak. The new features will activate in Epoch 272, on April 28, ~14:30 UTC.
