The Elrond Standard Digital Token coming online on our blockchain represents a massive evolution for our protocol and is the final prerequisite for the next big platforms and products to go live on our blockchain.

It costs 0.05 EGLD to mint tokens and 0.0005 EGLD to transfer them. Anywhere, at near instant speeds.

The tokenization of everything will happen at internet-scale speed and negligible cost.

With the activation of the features in the protocol, the front-end components such as the web wallet and Maiar can enter the final testing phase.

The Elrond explorer was already upgraded and can be used to track ESDT tokens:

The Maiar exchange will be the most important ecosystem component which will bring swaps between assets, globally, inexpensively, automatically.

There are 5 threads which we've been pushing on to make this a reality:

(a) The mainnet launch w/ ESDT tokens
(b) the conceptual design w/ MEX incentives
(c) SCs & backend required for the Maiar Exchange
(d) the Maiar frontend
(e) Maiar Connect element

The Maiar Exchange snapshot interface will display the eligible EGLD amounts for each cycle. Soon after the MEX tokenomics are finalized, the claimable MEX amounts will be displayed as well.
