Last Friday, we saw a massive outflow from Purpose ETF of around 24,000 BTC (worth around $500 Million), which has placed Purpose second on the list behind BITO. This could seem like a pretty insignificant move in the market, however, if we look deeper into it, it could be the missing piece of the puzzle for our next move.

What does this mean for price action in the mid term?

After making BITO the largest Exchange Traded Fund in the market, Purpose has remained extremely low, which is a trend that’s expected to continue for the next few months. Large market manipulators are probably responsible for the move in volume, and this could mean that new tools will be used for our next market cycle, which is likely very close to begin.

Short and mid term market structure for BTC and ETH remain stable and look like we could easily see a higher push in the next couple of days. The bulls have been fighting pretty hard to hold above $20,000 and it will depend on that on where our next move takes us.

If we do hold above $20,000 for the next couple of days (which is currently the most likely scenario) we'll likely be retesting $24,000 before a potential break higher or correction down to around $21,000.

Total Average Bitcoin Trading Volume across all exchanges (counting only weekdays) has plummeted drastically in 2022, reaching lows not seen since late 2020, just before we started the bull-run that took us to $69,000. This pattern in trading volume could be shedding some light on what to expect for the rest of the year, and it’s exactly what we’re looking for.

What does this mean exactly?

This means that such a drop in average trading volume has historically meant that we’re getting close to a market reversal (being it a bullish or bearish reversal). Considering that we’ve been in a bear market for months, reaching new multi-year lows, we can expect our next move to be to the upside.
