​Nirvana NFT will be launched in honor of Kurt Cobain's birthday

Nirvana's NFT set will be released next month to coincide with Kurt Cobain's 55th birthday.

The tokens will be released on Kurt's birthday, February 20. The NFTs themselves were created based on previously unpublished photos taken on October 6, 1991 - six days after the release of the "Nevermind" album - during Nirvana's performance at the J.C. Dobbs Club in Philadelphia.

The NFT set will consist of 28 photographs created by photographer Faith West. Sales will be through Pop Legendz.

Pricing for the digital works starts at $99 and goes up to $250,000.

Fans can purchase copies of the photos in black and white or acid white for $99. Artwork based on three images is $499. At these prices, 100 copies of NFT will be available.

A more expensive offering will include four NFTs in GIF format created from 10 never-before-seen images, accompanied by a framed print of one image signed by West. They will be auctioned individually (in black and white or acidic).

Bidding will start at 67 Ethereum ($250 thousand).
