DOGE extended its rally above USD 0.14, IOST gained over 50%.
Bitcoin price remained in a bullish zone above the USD 62,000 level. BTC climbed further above the USD 64,000 and USD 64,200 levels. It traded to a new all-time high near USD 64,900 and it is currently (12:30 PM UTC) correcting lower.

Similarly, most major altcoins are showing positive signs. ETH gained pace and it even broke the USD 2,400 level. XRP extended its rally above USD 1.90 and traded close to USD 1.965.

There was a steady increase in bitcoin price above the USD 62,000 level. BTC cleared the USD 63,000 and USD 64,000 levels. It traded close to USD 65,000 before correcting lower. An initial support on the downside is near the USD 64,100 and USD 64,000 levels. The main support is now forming near the USD 63,200 level.
On the upside, the USD 65,000 level is a major hurdle for the bulls. A successful close above USD 65,000 might push the price further higher towards USD 66,000.

Ethereum price performed well and cleared the USD 2,350 level. ETH traded to a new all-time high just above the USD 2,400 level. It is now consolidating gains and it might correct lower towards the USD 2,350 level.

The next major support is near the USD 2,320 level. On the upside, the price is facing hurdles near USD 2,400, above which the price might surge towards the USD 2,450 level.

Binance Coin (BNB) is moving higher and trading above the USD 565 level. An immediate resistance is near the USD 580 level. If there is a close above USD 580, the price might rise towards the USD 600 level. On the downside, the bulls might remain active near USD 550.

Cardano (ADA) gained pace and it spiked above the USD 1.50 level. ADA tested USD 1.55 before correcting lower. The price is now consolidating gains and it might correct lower towards USD 1.432. The next major support is near the USD 1.400 level. On the upside, the price might gain pace if there is a close above USD 1.50.

Litecoin (LTC) is trading above the USD 270 level. On the upside, LTC is facing a minor hurdle near the USD 275 level. The main resistance is near the USD 280 level. If there is a dip, it could find bids near USD 250.

XRP price rallied further above the USD 1.80 and USD 1.85 levels. It even spiked above USD 1.95 before correcting lower. On the downside, the USD 1.75 and USD 1.72 levels are decent support zones.

Several altcoins rallied over 15%, including DOGE, IOST, SC, VET, RUNE, RVN, DGB, EOS, and HBAR. Out of these, DOGE rallied over 80% and it broke the USD 0.14 level. It’s the best performing token among the top 100 coins by market capitalization today.

South Korea’s “crypto moms” are getting serious about their bitcoin (BTC) and altcoin buying – and, per a new report, are turning to their offspring for tips on how to make smarter investments.

As previously reported, while the 2017-era South Korean crypto rush was predominately led by younger male investors, Crypto Fever 2.0 has seen an influx of investors aged 40-59, with “crypto moms” entering the fray. Last month, a local industry observer told that “more female buyers are coming forward,” and that many have been “inspired by” moves in the United States from players like Tesla.

But per Chosun, some mothers are asking their sons and daughters to give them BTC investment tips. The media outlet stated that “housewives” in their 40s and 50s were now “jumping into cryptocurrency investment. Chosun pointed to data from the Coinone trading platform that showed 44% of all customers in their 50s were now women, while females made up 31% of customers in their 40s. Only a quarter of twentysomething customers are female, by contrast.

And the 40-59 demographic was responsible for 30% of total transaction volume, per data from the same exchange.

The media outlet quoted an older newbie trader as stating that she was “learning about trading by listening to my son.”

And a “full-time housewife” investor aged 51 complained,

“Crypto is not like stocks, which are relatively easy to understand. It’s hard to get to grips with what a blockchain is.”

A 46-year-old female resident of Uijeongbu who asked only to be identified by her surname, Shim, told that she owns just a small amount of crypto, which she said she received as a giveaway in a promotional event. She said,

“I have joined major online community run by the search engine Naver, and get a lot of information from there. And I do invest in the stock market. Lots of people I know invest their money in bitcoin. I’d like to do that too, in the future, but it seems so volatile, so I’m still hesitant.”

And a Seoul-resident mother-of-one surnamed Mok, also 46, told:

“I’m really interested in crypto and would love to invest if I had any spare money. Sadly, I don’t have anything spare at the moment, so it’ll have to wait!”

Meanwhile, on a Naver message board, roles were reversed with one poster recently claiming that he was in the last year of high school. US-based listed Bitcoin (BTC) mining company Riot Blockchain said it's buying Whinstone, the owner and operator of North America’s leading Bitcoin hosting facility, from Northern Data for USD 651m.

The company said it has already signed a definitive agreement and expects to close the transaction in the second quarter of 2021. According to the agreement, USD 80m payable in cash and remainder in shares of Riot common stock. Upon closing of the transaction, Northern Data, which acquired Whinstone in 2020, will own approximately 12% of the total outstanding common stock of Riot, the company said.

Riot claims that upon the closing of this acquisition, the company is expected to be the largest publicly traded Bitcoin mining and hosting company in North America, as measured by total developed capacity.

"Whinstone will serve as the foundation of Riot’s Bitcoin mining operations, upon which we will drive our goal of increasing the American footprint in the global Bitcoin mining landscape," Jason Les, CEO of Riot, was quoted as saying in the announcement.

Whinstone’s site has a total power capacity of 750 MW, with 300 MW currently developed, per Riot. Whinstone hosts Bitcoin mining operations for three institutional clients who, by the end of 2021, are expected to utilize up to 300 MW of aggregate power capacity.

Also, Whinstone generates engineering and construction services revenue from hosting clients on site, including revenue derived from the fabrication and deployment of immersion cooling technology for Bitcoin mining.

The Whinstone team is comprised of approximately 100 employees who have built Whinstone’s Texas operations from greenfield to commercialization in less than twelve months, per Riot.

"By becoming a minority shareholder in Riot going forward, through its equity stake in Riot, Northern Data will be able to benefit from the synergies generated by the transaction and continues to directly participate in the growth of Bitcoin value potential. Simultaneously, Northern Data will be able to use the cash proceeds from the transaction to focus on, and further implement, its decentralized, multi-site, scalable and ESG environmental, social, and governance-focused strategy," said Aroosh Thillainathan, CEO of Northern Data.

Separately, Riot Blockchain announced a large-scale contract for the purchase of 42,000 S19j Antminers for USD USD 138.5m from mining equipment producer Bitmain. Riot’s Bitcoin mining hash rate is now estimated to reach 7.7 exahash per second (EH/s) once fully deployed - a 93% increase over the company’s previously estimated committed hash rate capacity of 4.0 EH/s by October 2021. Riot is scheduled to receive a minimum of 3,500 S19j Antminers a month starting in November, and will continue through October 2022.
