Kryptonian Warlock:
is this the same technology used by hashgraph?
Guik0 SN:
not at all, elastos use a system of main-chain sidechains design for trust and a p2p network for computing, you have an agnostic OS as interface for non cryptos users (elastOS)
Kryptonian Warlock:
What the heck is that it sounds like contradiction main chain also side chain please explain in simple way
Guik0 SN:
elastos is not a ledger/blockchain solution, it use some part of it (for trust). It's an internet solution
Guik0 SN:
sidechains are dependant of mainchain, you can create any sidechains and profit from mainchain security
Guik0 SN:
the mainchain is ELA mainchain and is secured by BTC hashpower (merged-mining), and it's just about the PoW side
Guik0 SN:
so every sidechains could be designed for specifics needs but also profit from BTC security or any tech advantages too (like ETH sidechain we have), the ELA token is the center piece of all.
Guik0 SN:

Ditto:
Unfortunately your view does not equate to facts
Vladimir Gjurichikj:
Tell me which project is at that mass adoption point?
Ditto:
Not saying mass adoption, but doing better than enjin. Take a look at opensea for marketplace :)
Glen Wood:
Kin coin ...once again I’m not shilling , the usage figures confirm this
Vladimir Gjurichikj:
Thanks, I will:)
Piotr:
Doing better in what way?
Ditto:
From what i see trading volume
Vladimir Gjurichikj:
Marketing is really important.....but not as much as the quality of the tech solution

David Ramskill.ELA:
I agree totally, but collectively where can we add value to the ecosystem? And in my opinion we could increase the community and participation
David Ramskill.ELA:
In terms of numbers
Hunter:
Dapps built on top of Elastos should build their own community, the current community can jumpstart it but then needs people from the outside, it doesn't mean community members of this dapps are from crypto. Atleast people who likes the dapp they're using and willing to join that community, from there bridge introduce the Elastos community.
Hunter:
Maybe some of these people are willing to try other dapps of Elastos or become enthusiastic and join the Elastos community and promote it
Guik0 SN:
yes I would like to see content creators since they will bring value and public on the same time, and contents have differents forms (videos, art, streaming,vlogs,music...) They need to see why, as creators, they will profit from this.
Guik0 SN:
exactly
Guik0 SN:
having a limited format of text in twitter means quality is completly throw out of the window most of the time, people does not need to write/produce good for doing good twitt
Guik0 SN:
true when Feeds node will be more easy to build, everyone should make one asap

B Donnie:
We currently have 12 people working directly with Tuum. Front end and back end developers, UI/UX designers
TheTunaInTheBrine :
Thats great. I did not know that.
ELASTOS INSIGHTS:
Being user friendly is the key to mass adoption..
Nick:
Thanks for your efforts. It's probably my favorite video about Elastos. I would love to see more of these. It was very professional and well organized. A great way to find new believers
B Donnie:
Yes we have a solid crew right now and everyone is very passionate about their work. Currently Kiran is leading technical development of all our projects and actively working on Hive, Ricardo is working on both DID and Hive SDK, Diego is working on the identity application, Waqas on verifiable credentials and a new project we kicked off in Q4, Chad is working on Hyper front end and various apps for Trinity Tech, Martin is design lead on all projects at Tuum and for other teams at Elastos, Faizan is dedicated to UI/UX for our new product going to alpha in Q1, Yael is doing design for Hyper, I'm WEF, cross team management and market development, then we also have Peter, Artur, and Tina at Hyper working on Hyper Im and elastOS desktop. So we have a lot going on
B Donnie:
Thanks for the feedback Nick. We plan to polish this up and try for several more of these as the opportunities are available.

Matt Quinn:
They run on L1 but require some off-chain computation to describe the state transition, it bears some resemblance to how ETH2 contracts will work
Hu Wenchao:
In short, we maintain on-chain light clients in smart contract on both chains to verify tx on the counter party chain. We use lock tx proof to mint token on the counter party chain and burn proof to unlock it.
Jok Post:
so like near is doing with their rainbow bridge?
CerealChiller:
What sort of guarantees are there for the offchain computation ?
CerealChiller:
So many teams trying to do bridge, I'm curious how secure these really are

Jok Post:
governance in crypto is pretty "hard" to say the least. people with knowledge put up proposals, people with and without knowledge vote for those proposals. how many people in this system actually know if the proposal is good or bad? how many people understand the code behind it? We then come down to trusting the proposal guys, that they have/had good intentions, without verifying it ourselves (majority). Its coming from a financial and or engineering standpoint - why would the barber or the doctor next door vote on this proposal with now knowledge about the state? my view of course
Jani:
There is one good course I recommend:
Paul:
And what’s that
Wang [no DM] Kevin:
payments is part of it obviously, and afaik they’re integrating with trading desks so that users don’t have to hold crypto, but just use crypto as payment rails. the real potential i think is really to provide incentives for early supporters with a stake of the platform / creator to help evangelize and bring in more fans in exchange for future value generated - essentially the job of the traditional agencies. But yes it’s still early and we’ll see how it goes.
Wang [no DM] Kevin:
governance is hard, in particular for a layer 1 protocol, where changes have broad implications with impact to the entire ecosystem. I don’t think anyone has figured this out yet, and there are many experimentations. Sadly most are still quite centralized, given the concentration of tokens, even voting is used as a means. We’ll start with small steps on this next year but will be more cautious and experimental instead of “designing” a perfect system.

Thank you for the links...
So, officially, it has to be in Rust, right?

Emmanᕫel - Ultra io:
AMD wants to sell GPU, I think blockchain is cool for them no?
Emmanᕫel - Ultra io:
No worries about AMD they are super active and they have a really good blockchain team.
Emmanᕫel - Ultra io:
I'm sure they will succeed in Blockchain, their GPU are already dominating crypto mining no?
Emmanᕫel - Ultra io:
At least when I was mining back then in 2013, it was all about AMD.
(Not your financial advisor) ᕫ C⬢in C⬢nnect⬢r:
I have full faith that AMD is going to dominate their web3 blockchain path they have chosen . My question is are they as focused on making sure steam succeeds or do they just get a cut of the sales ? I don't expect you guys to know everything but can u see what I'm saying
buzz:
If POW is so cool, why doesn’t ultra use it then ;)
