Smart contracts are coming to #Cardano as Charles Hoskinson ADA’s CEO and the founder said that Alonzo hardfork combinator event date will be announced in the middle of August. So what does it mean?

It means that smart contract languages like Plutus (native), Marlowe (for finance) and Glow (for DApps) will soon be integrated with the Cardano stack. However, there is more non-tech news comparable with Cardano's listing on Coinbase back in March 2021 and that is why!

$ADA has finally been approved to be listed on Japanese crypto exchanges. It’s very important because according to draconian Japanese rules only a small number of tokens can be listed there. And now ADA is on the list!

2021-08-05 18:13:12 WHAT IS 51% ATTACK?

We're answering this question because of the situation with $BSV which suffered from it on Tuesday. All operations were suspended and recovery is expected by the end of the week. We’ll certainly keep you updated and the answer will be interesting to everybody who’s into crypto!

51% attack is a hackers' assault on the blockchain network, where somebody can control much of the hashing speed. It can lead to a disruption of the network processes or reorg where a block that was part of the canonical chain becomes no longer part of it because a competing block beat it out. It seems that it happened with $BSV, the initial reorg affected as many as 100 blocks and new reorgs are still occurring. Right now the situation is going to be clarified so stay tuned!

We may say that there were several examples when 51% attack led to a hardfork when a hacker created a new cryptocurrency. Anyway if you want to know more about it you are welcome to read our article with all the examples! Open / Comment

Good news for Ripple helps it to gain +15% today while major cryptocurrencies have gained only 1% to 3%. So what's the reason?

$XRP makes a significant step in expanding its cross-border payment service in Asia. Japan's money transfer provider SBI Remit is linking arms with Philippines mobile payments service Coins.ph and crypto exchange SBI VC Trade to open up a remittance corridor between the two countries.

That's a strategic move as In March Ripple acquired a 40% stake in cross-border payments firm Tranglo from Malaysia. Now it aims to tap the $1.8 billion a year payment market between Japan and the Philippines through the use of its on-demand liquidity (ODL) service. ODL xRapid allows companies to transfer funds from one fiat to XRP and from XRP to another fiat.
