#Chainlink is as a decentralized oracle network built on Ethereum. By cross-referencing data, oracles guarantee the validity of smart contracts.

Chainlink white paper was introduced in 2017; the network took off in 2019. In 2018, #LINK integrated Town Crier, an oracle connecting #Ethereum with HTTPS. In 2020, LINK integrated DECO, a ZK-proof protocol that allows verification of data while keeping it private.
