Intel to unveil its Bitcoin mining chip at an upcoming conference
Intel, a computing giant and the world's largest semiconductor chip manufacturer is all set to enter the Bitcoin-mining hardware business with its new upcoming GPUs.
The company will present a new Bonanza Mine processor at the ISSCC Confer. It is a new chip described as an ultra-low-voltage energy-efficient Bitcoin mining ASIC.
That means Intel could soon compete with the likes of Bitmain in the market for specialized ASICs for Bitcoin mining.
