First DEX on internet computer launched, other two in work

Dfinity Foundation’s Internet Computer blockchain has welcomed its first decentralized exchange named Sonic. Additionally, two other exchanges are also in the works.

There are initially only three pools for token swaps using its native token Internet Computer Protocol (ICP): InterICP/WICP (wrapped ICP), ICP/XTC (Cycles Token), and WICP/XTC.

Sonic plans to redefine DeFi with a sub-one second transaction finality entirely running on the IC’s public blockchain network without any gas fees.
