Within the next decade, in Sub-Saharan Africa alone, an estimated 230 million jobs will require digital skills.
An economic transformation of this magnitude offers great opportunity for young women and men to find employment, but only if they have developed the proper digital skills.
But young people in Africa face many barriers that may prevent them from obtaining the needed digital skills required for employment.
Updating and harmonizing educational policy , ensuring equal and fair access to education and a relevant curriculum that reflects actually needed digital skills all contribute to a set of key action points to overcome these barriers, and equip the youth of Africa to embrace the 21st century.
