Idea:
COVID-19 pandemic got me thinking. Governments across the world rooted for Home Schooling through eLearning platforms but many of them are data intensive and many students especially in some African countries, Uganda in my case were left out. The government was looking at use of radios for this exercise but it was a terrible failure. This got me thinking why not come up with a community based wireless internet solution where students and work from home benefit most. The average cost of internet in Uganda is insane: for $1 one gets 500MB which is a total loss.
Problems:
Twin-fi is a community based internet connection program to run in Kampal.Given the high costs of internet connectivity, Twin-fi focuses on bringing fast cheaper internet to key focus groups main Work from home and Students
Potential:
The possibility of this idea are endless especially considering the service will be setup near university areas.
