A year ago, Sotheby's and artist Kevin McCoy were sued over the sale of the first-ever NFT "Quantum", which was contested by Free Holdings, claiming that the rights to the works passed to them when Kevin forgot/ did not have time to extend the ownership of the Namecoin blockchain.

The New York court supported the artist in the rights to his work, stating that the claims of Free Holdings are nothing more than a thirst for profit.
