1. Web2 income from content creators reaches 30-100%, while web3 platforms receive from 0 to 15%, creators get the rest.
2. Based on the number of NFT collections, a16z counted 22,400 web3 creators, while about 3 billion users post content on web2 platforms.
3. But the "per capita" difference is even more significant. Web3 paid $174,000 per creator, while Meta paid $0.10 per user, Spotify paid $636 per artist, and YouTube paid $2.47 per channel.
Web3 is tiny but powerful.
