EtherRock was bought for almost a million dollars (300 ETH)EtherRocks (launched December 2017) is a set of digital rocks tokenized on the Ethereum blockchain. The NFT consists of still images of "rock" that are identical in design and shape, but have different color tones. There are only 100 ETHRocks in total.
At the start of sales, the very first stone was offered for 0.0999 ETH, worth about $300 at the time. The price increased as new stones were minted. During the first three years since the launch, only 20 out of 100 stones were sold, and the remaining 80 stones remained unclaimed. But the hype and explosive growth of NFTs in 2021 have sent the prices of these virtual gems skyrocketing. All stones are currently minted and many are listed for sale on the EtherRocks NFT marketplace.
Which stone is the most expensive? - 626,262 2.1 ETH (21 billion US dollars) apiece, and they are being bought. At the moment, the most expensive stone was sold for 400 ETH.
